It's for the world championship, for God's sake people. Is it really too much to ask the Euro teams to play two damn games to unite world football? Really?
This is the eighth post in my 24-hours of blogging marathon. The purpose is to raise some funds to allow The 24th Minute to continue to provide quality (and quantity) coverage of Canadian, MLS and world football.
If you like what I do, please consider supporting the Toonie project -- my call for a voluntary $2 a month subscription to the blog ($24/year).
Donations of any amount are accepted through PayPal (link to the right) or e-mail money transfer (dgrollins@gmail.com). Also e-mail me to arrange other forms of donation (or trade).

Dear Duane, I just posted a 12$ donation.
I wanted to thank you for your work and help your efforts. Furthermore I believe that professional (doesn't mean has to be on a newspaper) content should be paid in some way.
PS: I follow this blog for posts on Candadian/MLS/NASLorUSL soccer, not British, of which we can find everywhere. Given that I donated, probably you wanted to know what I like the most.
Ciao from Rome, Italy
Thanks Franco. I agree that EPL stuff is everywhere. I include some here for two main reasons:
1) - It helps to attract casual readers. An EPL fan may find me through a Google search and then read my MLS/Canadian/North American stuff and decide to come back.
2) - It's a bit self-indulgent. I like to write about the EPL because I like the EPL.
I aim to be 80-90% North American though
