Apparently the Islanders are planning on staying with the sinking ship next year (link in Spanish). No one knows what the hell Portland is doing.
The rumours are suggesting that Cleveland is likely going to fold, or, at best, drop back down to USL-2. Austin is too isolated and is likely screwed and New York appears to be a mirage, at best.
So a two team table it is. Until the Timbers move to MLS in 2011. Then it looks like the Islanders will be forced to, um, play with themselves.

Duane, you've got that all wrong. PR to Portland is a long, expensive trip, so no way they alternate sites for every game. In fact, they'll just probably just do the first half of the season in Portland, and the second half in Puerto Rico.
Awesome.
I hope that Portland can win the USL Western Conference next year.
Austin is likely screwed? Where does that mean they go? Just disappear like a fart in the wind or on to NASL?
The best that the USL-1 can do now is to merge the remaining clubs with the new NASL. They must know they're not going to survive this.
Nike should have sold the USL to the TOA. Now, the TOA is cleaning the pitch with NuRock, and it looks good on them.
Ha, ha, very funny. Peaople act like this new "NASL" actually exists. It's still highly probable that the USSF doesn't approve the NASL, at least not until 2011, citing that they don't have enough time to get a new league up and running. This will force many teams back to the USL-1, thy'll reconcile, and all of this will be over. blahblahblah.
If the TOA would've agreed to still have all their uniforms be Nike, then their USL bid would've been accepted. But, they were greedy and got passed over.
^^^Looks like somebody from Portland is bitter that their incompetent owner is not doing anything.
Yeah with only 4 teams there's probably a good chance Austin makes the playoffs ;-) Wait...
