Sure, I was guilty of a little hyperbole, but that FK stands up against anything you will see in any league. And, I wish I saw goals like that "all the time" in the big four leagues.

I do believe that it is the most skilled and spectacular goal in MLS history.

Happy for DeRo because it is what he wants, but sad as a Dynamo fan.

Looking at the goal objectively:

Have you ever watched English Premier League, German Bundesliga, Italy's Serie A or Spain's "La Liga"?

There are goals of this caliber ALL the time in Europe. Granted, this is probably the best goal scored off of a free kick in MLS history, but let's not forget Brian Ching's spectacular bicycle kick (that won the 2006 Sierra Mist Goal of the Year) against D.C. United back in 2006...or De Rosario's 2004 Sierra Mist Goal of the Year. Joseph Ngwenya also had one against the Fire that was a finalist for Goal of the Year back in 2007, and De Rosario scored on the Fire from inside the circle back in 2006.

All that to say...proclaiming De Rosario's goal as the "best in league history...or maybe ever." may be a bit excessive. It was a great goal scored by a great goalscorer. Let's hope he scores a lot more for TFC...just not against the Dynamo :-)
